Victor Guðmundsson, a.k.a. Doctor Victor Sound, is an Icelander that studied medicine abroad (actually in my hometown Martin, Slovakia). We can perhaps call him “útlendingur” just the other way around. I invited him to talk about those slight differences in health care between Iceland and Slovakia, how is it to study abroad and be a foreigner there, how it is to get a chance to help people back in his country, and also how it is to work as a doctor during the day and as a well known and popular DJ at night.
Yes, Victor - @doctorvictorsound, is a man of two faces, or as I said, “he heals people with his hands & words during the day and with his music during the night”. In this Icelandings Cast episode, we hopefully talked about everything that might interest you from the health care perspective yet from the DJ & Producer life as well.

Taxes, taxes, taxes! Personal taxes in Iceland with my next host Björgvin Theodór Arnarson. Björgvin is currently finishing his accounting and auditing studies and works in an accountant company in Akureyri. We (hopefully) described everything as best as possible and didn't forget anything. And, we really have had fun (who would say that when talking about taxes, right?).

How to create a CV and write a strong cover letter when applying for a job in Iceland is just a part of the episode where I welcome Silja Jóhannesar Ástudóttir. Silja worked as a recruiter for a former agency Capacent, she is in a contact with foreigners and has also taught Icelandic before. We went over topics such as how to apply for a job, where to apply, what to do once we are invited for an interview, and also, what to do when we are not getting replies at all. How looks the Icelandic market nowadays and where is the market positioning people from abroad that are applying for a job.
All in the episode. Below, I am leaving a couple of links that might help you when looking for a job.
